How I’m Creating Summer Content That Actually Converts To Money

Let’s be real, summer can be chaos. Between the heat, the holidays, and trying to keep up with kids, pregnancy, and content goals, it can feel like everything is in survival mode. But here’s the thing: even while exhausted, swollen, and living in my satin pajamas I’m still creating content that converts. And by “converts,” I mean content that actually brings in clicks, commissions, signups, and sales. Not just likes. If you’re a mom trying to juggle motherhood, monetization, and real life this post is your shortcut to creating content that converts for mom bloggers. Here’s how I’m making my content work for me, even when I can’t work full-time hours.

Blogging while pregnant? Here’s how I’m still getting clicks, commissions, and conversions without pushing myself to the limit.

1. I’m Focusing on Blog-First, Searchable Content

Social media trends come and go, but Google and Pinterest traffic have a long shelf life. That’s why I start with blog post ideas that solve real problems (like this one), and use SEO research to guide me rather than guessing.

Here’s how:

  • I check Pinterest Trends and TikTok comments to find what moms are asking
  • Then I write a blog post using keywords that match their exact language
  • From there, I’ll create short-form content to point to the blog

📌 Example: This blog post exists to help other moms make money online without burnout. If that’s you, I want this post to meet you where you’re searching for it, not hope you find it buried in my IG Reels.

2. I Batch Content Around My Real Life (Not the Other Way Around)

Pregnancy has humbled me because I don’t have the time or energy to “create on the fly.” So I batch.

If I’m tidying up, I set my tripod and record B-roll.
If I’m talking to my phone in the car, I jot down captions.
If I’m already blogging, I write two posts instead of one.

The content that converts best for me this summer is stuff I create while I’m already living, not stuff that requires a costume change and an aesthetic setup.

3. I Lead With Affiliate Links I Genuinely Use

In 2018, I waited way too long to monetize. I focused on monetizing through my own products, instead of using affiliates to grow first. Not anymore.

Now, if I recommend something, it’s linked. I use:

  • Amazon Associates for my pregnancy comfort finds, gear, and mom-life favorites
  • Kit.co to organize product roundups like “My TikTok Setup” or “Blogging While Pregnant Must-Haves”
  • Bluehost for helping new mom bloggers start their sites without stress

I’m not being salesy, I’m being honest and intentional. I’m being helpful because I actually use the things I suggest. The content that converts is the content that helps readers.

4. I Treat Social Media as the Trailer, Not the Movie

This summer, I’m not making my Instagram and TikTok feel like duplicate versions of my blog. I’ve tried that. It’s draining and doesn’t convert.

Now, I use short-form video to teasehighlight, or humanize my blog content:

  • A TikTok about how tired I am → leads to a blog post about batching content
  • An Instagram Reel showing my Kit setup → directs people to my blog gear guide

Social = awareness
Blog = depth
Links = income

5. I’m Not Launching a Product… Yet

I know everyone says, “Create a product!” But the truth is, I don’t want to sell something just to sell something. Not while I’m pregnant. Not when I’m still rebuilding traffic. Not when my energy is better spent building trust and viewer loyalty.

This summer, my product is:

Once I’ve grown my email list and seen what my audience is loving most, then I’ll launch something that feels aligned.

Final Thoughts: If You’re Tired, You Can Still Make Money

Creating content that converts for mom bloggers doesn’t require you to do the most.
It just requires you to do what matters and be smart about where you spend your energy.

So if you’re in your soft content era this summer, here’s your checklist:

✅ Write blog posts based on search-friendly ideas
✅ Film social content that hints at the blog, not replaces it
✅ Batch in alignment with your real life
✅ Share links to what you already use
✅ Grow your list before your offer
